My Attendance is the University’s new digital system to record and report on student attendance at timetabled learning activities.
A small number of programmes will pilot My Attendance from April 2021. If your programme is involved, your local team will be in touch with further information. Otherwise you do not have to use the system yet.
Students 'check in' to register their own attendance at timetabled activities, and can easily see their own attendance record. Relevant staff can see and edit student check-ins in real time, and access attendance reports.
Being able to record and review attendance more easily will help us see where students might be struggling and offer support. It will also help us make sure that students who have attendance requirements (for example to earn a professional accreditation) are meeting them.
This new system is more efficient than other attendance monitoring such as paper registers, saving resource so we can better support you in other areas.
How to use the system
You do not have to use the system until it rolls out on your programme. Your local team will be in touch with further information and support when this happens.
Watch the video below to find out more about what the system does and how to use it (to watch with subtitles go to the video portal). You can also read more about the system, including answers to common questions, on the about the system page.
