Help me get online

We recognise that not all students have access to a laptop or Wi-Fi, or that COVID-19 may have affected your personal financial circumstances. If this is the case there are various ways in which the University may be able to help.

Connectivity issues off campus

If you are experiencing connectivity issues then you might like to try the following suggestions from IT Services.

Troubleshooting connectivity issues off campus

Laptop loan and Wi-Fi access scheme

The laptop loan and wi-fi access scheme for 2021/22 is currently being reviewed. We'll update this page with more details soon.

Living Cost Support Fund

If you have additional financial worries, the University might be able to offer practical support through the Living Cost Support Fund. If you don't meet the criteria above for the laptop loan scheme you may be able to apply for IT equipment via the Living Cost Support Fund.

The fund is open to all students, regardless of level of study or nationality. It is open all year round and can award small grants and loans to help students overcome financial hardship – and we understand that at the moment there may be unexpected or additional money worries.
