Welcome information and timetables
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to study at The University of Manchester.
Before you arrive please refer to Get Ready for Manchester for information on everything you will need to prepare for the start of your degree.
During arrival, welcome and induction, there will be many different kinds of activities organised by your department, the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, the University and the Students’ Union that will help you to get to know people and settle in.
There are lots of important talks and events that you will need to attend, including the Social Justice Challenge, one of three Ethical Grand Challenges you'll need to complete if you want to work towards Stellify, the University’s prestigious extra-curricular award.
You should also read your Welcome guide.
