Help and support


There’s so much to do and think about in your preparation for starting your studies. We try to provide as much help and support as possible to make the process as straight forward as possible. If you find yourself confused or in need of some help then we are here to assist you where possible.

Here's how you can get help and support before you arrive on campus and once you are here:

For best results IT sign-up and registration should be completed using a PC or laptop, errors may occur if using a mobile or tablet. If you encounter errors please try using another browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome.

If you have been unable to complete IT Signup before you arrive on campus you can receive help from IT Services Guest Support Centre. Let us know what the issue is and our IT Services team will help resolve it for you. If you receive halt code or if you have been at the University of Manchester before and have been given another user ID, please mention this and provide your date of birth.

If you require IT services when you arrive on campus, walk-up help and support is available at the Kilburn Building from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Help and support is also available at Joule Library, Main Library or Alan Gilbert Learning Commons. More information on the IT walk-up help desks can be found here.
