Discover the city of Manchester

Explore Manchester together

We round up the best cheap activities in the city for you and your mates.

You’ll make lots of new friends during your time here – and there’s an amazing city right on your doorstep to explore together.

In this video, we set two teams of students a challenge: in just two hours, how many fun cheap things could they find to do? With bars, coffee shops, museums, shopping and great food to enjoy, watch them rise to the task and find out what kind of activities they got up to.

It's all confidential and won't affect your application or your place with us.

Register with DASS.

Student Communications Commitment

Read our commitment to you

We’ll achieve greater collective success if each of us commits to working in true partnership.

Our Student Communications Commitment has been jointly developed with students and the Students' Union to enable regular, positive dialogue between the University and our student community.

Your needs as a student will evolve as you move through your University journey – we’ll review this commitment annually and take it in new directions to meet you where you are.
