Find out what funding is available for postgraduate studies.
If you’re coming to Manchester to study a taught, research masters, or doctoral research degree and you’re from the UK, you should be eligible for a postgraduate loan (PGL) from the UK government. If you’re an EU national you may be eligible depending on your circumstances.
The maximum loan available for postgraduate taught programmes (including research masters) is £11,570 for 2021/22.
For postgraduate research programmes the maximum loan is £27,265 over the duration of the course for students commencing on or after 1 August 2021.
Postgraduate loans are paid directly to you in instalments, and are non-means tested.
It’s likely that you’ve already secured funding for your course – but if not, don’t worry – there’s lots of help available.
