Whatever your area of study and career goals, the Careers Service is here to support you from before you arrive in Manchester, right through to life after graduation. The Careers Service's pre-arrival pages will help you understand the UK job market so you can search for part-time jobs and work experience with confidence from day one.
Once you're here, the Careers Service offers information, advice and one-to-one guidance on exploring the right career path for you, gaining skills and experience, and applying for jobs and experience in the UK and abroad - whether during your studies or after you graduate.
In addition to guidance, the Careers Service runs events for international students on campus and online, one-to-one appointments, internship programmes, interview practice, CV reviews and much more.

Moving to a new country can be daunting. Manchester’s Students' Union has a dedicated service to support international students settle into student life, get to know Manchester, and make new friends.
It also hosts weekly socials and regular trips, as well as activities like the Global Buddies scheme and the International Orientation Programme.
