There can be a lot to think about and do before you arrive at Manchester, but the International Office is here to help you ahead of this.

In our online live pre-departure briefings, you’ll find out about your next steps, from applying for a visa and paying your fees, to registering as a student and confirming your accommodation. You’ll also hear about what it’s like at Manchester from current students and our Students’ Union.

Taking place on Tuesday, 19 August from 9.30 to 10.30am, this is your financial head start before moving to the UK.

Come along to this one-hour webinar run by the Students’ Union, where we cover all things money including:

  • Budgeting and different ways to budget
  • How much students are spending in the UK
  • Ways to save on essential living costs
  • Accessing student discounts
  • Opening a bank account in the UK
  • Protecting your money from scams and fraud

 

Careers support and advice

Navigating the UK job market for the first time can feel overwhelming. Whatever your area of study and career goals, our Careers Service are here to support you. They provide information and guidance on the UK jobs market, work experience and your options for finding employment in the UK after you graduate.

In addition to online guidance, the Careers Service runs in-person events on campus, including one-to-one appointments.
