Canvas – your student guide

Canvas is the digital platform where you can find your course materials, submit work, and connect with your studies online.

Whether you're submitting assignments, joining discussions, or tracking your course progress, Canvas is designed to support your learning journey every step of the way. 

What do I need to do? 

• Check out the Canvas student support page for step-by-step guides, helpful tips and dedicated support to help you make the most of the platform. 
• Visit canvas.manchester.ac.uk to login. Enter your username and password, making sure to select ‘The University of Manchester’ as your school.
• Access helpful hints and guidance in the Canvas Community with the Canvas Student Guide. 
• Download the Canvas Student App to access the platform on your phone.  Remember to select ‘The University of Manchester’. 
• If you require any technical support, you can raise a ticket via the IT Service Connect page or through Canvas’ own 24/7 technical support.
