We have plenty of activities planned for Welcome Week to help you get to know campus, discover our services and get settled in.

Manchester Students' Union
At Manchester Students' Union Freshers Fortnight you can get involved in trips, socials, live music, fairs, nights out, days in and so much more.
The Students' Union runs events for Manchester students throughout the year, and you can also get involved in the SU's societies and activities.
We've highlighted some of the key SU Welcome events below, and you can also visit the Exhibition Space in the Students' Union Building to buy a plant (22-23 September) or purchase a poster (29 September to 3 October) and personalise your new digs.
Give them a follow on Instagram (@manchester_su) and TikTok (@manchestersu) for up-to-date information on what's happening, or sign up to their mailing list.
Get your All Access Freshers wristband
The SU's All Access Freshers wristband gives you access to a variety of events and venues across Manchester. The wristband is only available through official SU channels. Please be wary of joining unofficial group chats or buying wristbands or tickets for unaffiliated events, and follow the SU's guidance to avoid scams.

We have plenty of events lined up to welcome you to Manchester and help you get settled, including two international student information panels.

Manchester International Society
The International Society is part of The University of Manchester’s Student Union and is here to help both home and international students settle into student life and make new friends.

Visit the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons (AGLC) and learn about the ways the Library can support you and your studies with this one-to-one individual tour. Commuter Welcome
Aimed at new students commuting to university from home, rather than living on campus or with other students, this event is designed for you to meet fellow commuter students, get familiar with campus and to introduce you to some of the support available while you study. Join us for a short welcome talk, followed by ice-breaker activities and an introduction from some of the groups who'll support you on campus. There'll also be an optional tour of campus and refreshments available.

Welcome to Manchester: event for autistic students
Aimed at students who have been diagnosed with, or are seeking a diagnosis of, autism, this event is designed to give you a quieter introduction to university life and campus, and to help you meet people and settle in before Welcome Week starts.
You’ll meet with other autistic students, staff and student ambassadors to watch short presentations about what you can get involved with, in addition to learning about the autism-friendly activities that take place across the city. The event includes a one-hour guided tour of campus in small groups. Optional light refreshments will be provided.
