Welcome and induction information
Induction
You should receive your programme induction timetable by Monday 9 September 2024. If you have not received it by this date, please contact us by emailing sms.programmes-pgt@manchester.ac.uk.
There are two school-wide induction events taking place on:
- Tuesday 17 September, 9:30am - 11:30am: on campus in Whitworth Hall
- Thursday 19 September, 1pm - 2:30pm: online via Zoom
Further information will be shared here and in your induction timetable once finalised.

Student support
The School has a dedicated Student Support and Wellbeing team to support your welfare.
The Student Support and Wellbeing team can offer support with a wide range of challenges you may face, including:
- personal or family issues;
- physical health or mental health issues;
- advice regarding mitigating circumstances for assessments.

PGT Student Support Hub in Blackboard
Once you have access to the PGT Student Support Hub (a Blackboard community space), you will find an extensive list of useful information and resources including videos and presentations from the School Welcome, Induction and Transition events.
You will need to log in with your new username and password.
There is also an online health and safety information module for you to complete, along with useful links to library resources and student support and welfare guidance.
