Students' Union events
The Students' Union will be running events throughout the Welcome to Semester 2 fortnight. Find out what they've got planned on the SU website. You can also find information on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
Get started with the Library
The Library are running both online and on-campus drop-in workshops during Welcome to Semester 2. You'll also find helpful information on the Library website.
Student Support, Advice and Guidance
On Wednesday, 3rd Feb, 2pm – 3pm, come and join us to paint a plant pot and pot your own houseplant! Taking place at University Place, 4.214, you can book via Eventbrite.
You can also meet the Student Support, Advice and Guidance team at the Student Union Refresher's Fair on Tuesday, 1 February.
Student Volunteering Week
A full week of volunteering events will take place from Monday, 7 February to Sunday, 13 February. Find out more about our Student Volunteering Week.
There's also a virtual Stellify drop-in on Wednesday, 2 February from 4pm to 5pm.

Welcome sessions available for you to view at a time that suits you.
During Welcome we'll be making recordings of sessions, so if you're unable to join us in Manchester at the moment or miss any online sessions you'll be able to access them here. We'll be adding them to the page over the course of Welcome so keeping checking back.

Volunteering is a great way to enhance your University experience, enabling you to make friends, become part of the local community and develop new skills which will look great on your CV.
A wide range of volunteering opportunities are available to you, including volunteering with local, national and international charities and not-for-profit organisation; volunteering with children and young people; supporting adults; volunteering in arts and culture and environmental volunteering.
For undergraduate students, this activity counts towards the Stellify Award. To complete the ‘Make a Difference’ section of the Stellify Award you need to complete and record 25 hours of community volunteering.
