Welcome timetables and information
You are invited to attend some events for your programme during Welcome week, which begins on Monday, 22 September. These sessions are a great opportunity for you to get to know the lecturers who will be teaching you during your time at Manchester, to meet your peers and to get to know the opportunities that SEED has to offer. It is important that you make arrangements to attend all of these sessions.
You can access your Welcome Week timetable online. The School will also send you a copy of the timetable to your personal or university email nearer the time.
Please ensure you have activated your IT account to enable you to access University systems, including your university email. You will then need to register as a student. We strongly suggest you do this before arriving in Manchester. You can start to register online from Monday, 1 September and we recommend that you register as soon as possible.
In addition to your programme timetable, there will be University-wide Welcome activities as well as Students' Union events to help you meet people and settle into our community. Check out the What's on during Welcome page to find out about other activities happening around the campus.

See you in September!
The Welcome period can be a challenging and exhilarating time, where you will be meeting both academic and support staff and will be able to participate in a range of social events.
You'll need to absorb and process a great deal of information in a relatively short period of time, so try to be as prepared as possible before you arrive by reading any information we send via email, activating your IT account, registering as a student, familiarising yourself with support available, and getting in touch if you have any questions.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
There can be a lot to think about and do before you arrive, but we’re here to help you get organised. Before starting your course, visit the Get Ready pages to find out about registering as a student, and what other things you need to do and complete in order to start at Manchester.
