Medicine - allocation to clinical campus

Students who go on to study Medicine will spend the first two years of the MBChB on the University of Manchester campus, and their final three years at one of four Clinical Education Campuses (CEC):

  • Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR) (known as Preston)
  • Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT): Oxford Road Campus
  • Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT): Wythenshawe Hospital
  • Northern Care Alliance Foundation Trust (NCA) (Formerly known as Salford Royal)

You will find out which of the four CECs you will be based at when you're in Semester 1 of Year 1 of the MBChB.  The following information outlines the allocation process. It's important you're aware of this: Allocation to Clinical Education Campus (PDF).
